I would like to introduce you to my trip to Sokcho because with the help of StayKorea I had the opportunity to discover life outside of Seoul.
My contract with StayKorea has given me many advantages. They generously helped me with all the organization and took care of my bus expenses and also helped me with accommodation support.
Now, let’s see more about my stay.
Sokcho is a coastal town in the north-east of the country, famous for its beaches, natural landscapes and picturesque streets.
The city is about 3 hours by transport from Seoul, but relatively accessible.
It’s a peaceful, calm place.
I enjoyed seeing that they were also invested in giving me addresses to see or specialties to taste.
So I went to see Sokcho Beach, Cheongcho Lake, or took a walk through the Sokcho Central Market.
There’s lots to see and do, from temples to observatories and Ferris wheels. You can simply visit the pretty streets and beachfronts.
First night at Mar Inn
Mar Inn is a Guest House with dormitories separated by gender.
Every evening, a party is organized from 7pm for all residents. Everyone gets together to enjoy music, games and food.
I met many Koreans who were delighted to show me around local restaurants and corners of the city.
The perfect place to meet people if you’re an extrovert or just curious about life in Sokcho.
Second night at Haru
For introverts, no problem, the Haru Guest House/hotel is the perfect place to relax, with a large bedroom and private bathroom.
Bright common rooms and plenty of time to explore the city on your own.
StayKorea advised me and booked these 2 accommodations so that I could live 2 really different experiences.
So don’t be afraid! You’ll be able to tailor your stay just the way you like it!
StayKorea offers a wide range of accommodation in Seoul, but if you’re curious and want to explore other parts of the country, they also offer housing inother regions like:
