Booked a Room, Got a Free Trip to Jecheon
Ever heard of Jecheon?
Our guests hadn’t either—until they joined us for a free getaway, just for being part of Stay Korea.
If you’re staying in Korea and looking for more than just a place to sleep, the question is — which brand can offer something truly meaningful?
At Stay Korea, we’re more than just a room booking service.
We provide experiences and benefits that help our guests enjoy their time in Korea in a more fulfilling and memorable way.

One of those experiences was a recent trip to Jecheon, offered exclusively to our Stay Korea guests.
We joined them on-site to ensure a smooth and enjoyable trip, while also capturing meaningful moments along the way.
Here’s a look back at that journey — a special memory made possible through Stay Korea.
🥟 Naeto Traditional Market & “Oe-gat-jip” Fried Dumplings / Fish Cake
It was a rainy day, but Jecheon’s traditional market was still full of life.
As we walked through the narrow alleys, unfamiliar sights, sounds, and smells of Korea slowly filled the air.
At first, it felt a bit unfamiliar, but our guests soon became more comfortable, capturing moments on their phones and exploring the surroundings with curiosity.

In front of a cozy snack stall called “Oe-gat-jip” (which means “grandmother’s house”), we tried freshly fried dumplings and spicy red eomuk (Korean fish cake). Steam rose from the food, warming our hands as well as the atmosphere.
It was a short stop, but that warm bite and the casual, friendly energy of the market perfectly captured the charm of a traditional Korean street scene.
🍱 Seonghyeon Hanjeongsik – Tteokgalbi & Deodeok
Our next stop was Seonghyeon, a traditional Korean restaurant in Jecheon.
As soon as everyone sat down, the table was filled with beautifully prepared dishes — perfectly grilled tteokgalbi (short rib patties), aromatic deodeok (mountain herb root), and an assortment of neatly arranged side dishes.

For many of our guests, it was their first time experiencing a full hanjeongsik (Korean traditional course meal).
Some stared at the table for a moment, chopsticks in hand, before smiling and asking, “Where do we even begin?”
Sharing this carefully prepared meal together felt like more than just having lunch.
It was a unique opportunity to experience the care, balance, and warmth at the heart of Korean food culture.
🚠 Cheongpung Lake Cable Car & Hilltop Café
It was a rainy day from morning to evening.
On a clear day, the view of Cheongpung Lake would have stretched far into the distance, but this time, the foggy scenery and quiet atmosphere left a different kind of impression.
Raindrops formed on the cable car windows, and our guests quietly watched the slowly passing landscape through the misted glass, enjoying a peaceful moment in motion.

Once we reached the top, we stopped by a nearby café.
With the soft sound of rain falling outside the windows, everyone enjoyed warm coffee and freshly baked bread.
Rather than feeling disappointed by the weather, the mood became calm and cozy.
One guest said, “Cloudy days like this aren’t so bad. It actually feels kind of nice.”
Though we spoke different languages, it felt like everyone in that café was sharing the same quiet sense of peace.

♨️ Resom Resort – Healing Spa
As evening approached, our guests headed to Resom Resort in Jecheon to enjoy a spa experience.
After a full day of walking in the rain, there was no better way to relax and unwind.
The moment they entered the warm spring water, you could feel the tension melt away — even in the quiet sighs of relief. One guest remarked, “I’ve never done anything like this in Korea before.

People didn’t say much while in the spa, but the atmosphere was calm and comfortable, and it was clear that everyone was enjoying the moment in their own way.
The experience may have been unfamiliar, but discovering something new and enjoyable — that’s what travel is all about.

🎤 Free Time – Korean Pub & Karaoke
In the evening, our guests headed into downtown Jecheon and gathered at a local pub called 무지개맥주. Over Korean-style side dishes and beer, they shared stories from the day and relaxed together.
After the meal, the group walked to a nearby noraebang — a Korean-style karaoke room — for a fun and lively cultural experience.
Although the setting was unfamiliar to some, passing the microphone around and singing together soon filled the room with laughter. Any initial awkwardness quickly faded, and the group began to feel more connected through the shared experience.

🎨 Day 2 – Gyodong Minhwa Village & Jjamppong Tasting
The next morning, light rain was still falling in Jecheon. Our guests slowly walked through the wet alleys of a traditional neighborhood, where walls were decorated with minhwa — colorful Korean folk paintings.
The rain made the streets quieter and more still, adding to the calm, peaceful atmosphere that felt uniquely Korean.
Guests took photos of one another as they walked, their expressions more relaxed and natural than the day before.

After the walk, we wrapped up the trip with a simple but satisfying lunch.
At Bongnimjang, we shared bowls of spicy jjamppong and savory jjajangmyeon.
It was a warm and comforting meal, and a fitting way to close out a short but memorable journey.
